I am currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join a site transition project for a major Aerospace manufacturer. Based out of Birmingham you will most likely match the profile below:
Certified Project management (PRINCE 2) practitioner (or similar), Six Sigma Green belt certified Engineer with solid experience in Project Engineering, development and NPI within Aerospace or similar Industry
Prior experience in an automotive of aerospace transistion project
Extensive knowledge and experience in customer / supplier facing role as part of New Product introduction within Risk Assessment / FMEA change control driven environment.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing procedures, process/machine capability studies, validation & verification.
Demonstrable experience of project scheduling using MS Project
The Project is expected to last around 2 years and will pay £250 to £280 a day depending on what you can bring to the project
Reporting directly to the Programme Manager you will be responsible for the successful transition of a large manufacturing site which specializes in varied aerospace focused products.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering multiple/individual projects with respect to performance with specific deliverables.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure all assigned projects are properly planned, budgeted organised, directed, monitored and controlled to safely meet customer requirements and agreed timescales and company objectives;
Ensure project management activity is carried out in accordance with approved company procedures;
Manage all assigned project activity within the business through a multi functional project team to could include Comms, HR, finance, engineering, manufacturing, production, procurement and facilities;
Generate reports and update KPIs;
Develop the detailed transfer plan by part number, process and machines with the sending site;
Support the site's functional members to implement the Functional Leads guidelines;
Coordinate the last article and first article inspection reviews
Be the prime customer point of contact manage relationships with all stakeholders and service providers;
