Main Interfaces: Clients; Client representatives; suppliers; subcontractors; consultants; employees; line mangers; internal departments (buying, HSEQT and plant); visitors
This is an Operations and Engineering division role with working on minor and major contracts, operating either as a specialist in support of a Construction Partner or as a Main Contractor. This work involves one or more of our specialist capabilities and experience in enabling works, infrastructure, basements and substructures, hard and soft landscaping packages and external works.
In alignment with the Carey Way and Careys Health and Safety system, SHED (Safe Home Every Day), the Project Engineer will:
Support the Project Manager, deputising when necessary, in leading the construction of the allocated project
Plan and control the safety, quality, engineering, Design and Temporary works, logistics and material deliverables in accordance with client and stakeholder requirements
Deliver Project works Right First Time and work within time and cost constraints adopting the Carey Way
Engaging with ALL members of the project team
The Project Engineer will be expected to divide his or her time as follows: 60% dealing with on-site operations; and 40% at site office for Golden Hour, SHED, briefings, inspections and continual review and lessons learned.
