Stress Engineer
£35-£37 FCSA Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Some hybrid Available (min 3 days pw on site)
Are you a Stress Engineer with experience of mechanical stress analysis & simulation using stress analysis tolls (ideally Siemens SimCentre / Nastran or similar)?

Specific Requirements
Other experience/skills in the following would also be an advantage:
- Working knowledge of Siemens SimCentre, Nastran or similar
- Work alongside fellow Engineers and collaborate with Development Engineers to ensure all technical deliverable deadlines are met.
- Write technical specifications and test specifications and to undertake stress analysis.
- Experienced and have been working within a mechanical engineering environment, you will have worked in a low volume, high value Manufacturing environment – Ideally Aerospace, Defence, MOD or Low Volume Automotive Manufacturing
- Manufacture and Assembly Stress Calculation techniques
- Knowledge of a wide range of engineering materials and types of dynamic rotating equipment
- Evidence of attention to detail skills
- Self motivated and independent working
- Communication with confidence at all levels
- High competency in the use of Microsoft Office tools
- Solid Experience of stressing components, Sub Assemblies, rotating equipment & structural integrity
The candidate should have good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment and manage own workload.
Hourly Rate: £35 – £37 (FCSA Umbrellla) or £24 – £27 paye
This role is deemed inside IR35, so payment options would be either FCSA Approved Umbrella or PAYE
Location: Nr to Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Job Type: Contract
Duration: Initially 6 – 12 Months, although expected to become long term & ongoing
