Quality Inspector
Merthyr Tydfil
Salary is up to £31K

4 days per week – Monday to Thursday – 7:00am to 5:00pm – Every Friday off
(the successful candidate should be willing to do overtime on some Fridays – as the site is really busy).
There is also the possibility of doing the regular working hours over 5 days, instead of 4.

Duties include:

Doing Quality Control Checks on the build quality of vehicles.
Checking the quality of the assembly – Are parts fitted correctly in accordance with the Work Instructions ?
Examples:
1. Cable / harness routing validation
2. Armour gap setting validation
3. Powerpack installation validation

Working to written instructions (Work Instructions, Aids, Guides, Scripts, Processes)
Generate Snag list for corrections to be made to vehicle build
Validation of build snag rework prior to vehicle line build release

Required experience:

This role could suit a commercial Vehicle inspector, or someone with armoured vehicle military background.
Or someone with a machine fitter / installer background where they have had to check the item has been built/installed precisely.
Candiates need to be mechanically minded and familiar with basic manual inspection equipment.
Most importantly candidates need to be quality minded; and have the mind set “Quality in everything we do”
