You would need to be on site at least 3 days a week, possibly more in the early stages whilst coming up to speed with the projects
 
Are a mechanical design engineer with experience of Aircraft or Aerospace sub-assemblies or structures, who would be happy being the SME for Solid Works PDM and managing the design data within the system?
Do you have experience of using Solid Works CAD & PDM?
Are you able to work from existing drawings and issue Engineering Packs, BOM’s as well as update existing designs, whilst working alongside translating things into design and manufacturing drawings?
 
We have been recruiting extensively throughout the last few months for this well-known & growing company. we have successfully recruited numerous design people and built a highly skilled and close knit team of Engineers.
 
We are now looking to add to this team and add a person to work alongside design staff to ensure the data on the PDM system is accurate & upto date.
You will be involved in both the Design Aspects of the role & also ensuring the data is accurate throughout the team.
This is quite a varied & interesting role, that will utilise all traditional skills within a design office
 
You will be working on the designs producing Components, Assemblies, BOM’s using Solid Works CAD & PDM. You will also be maintaining the Engineering database for Surface treatments.
 
The contract is expected to run for a minimum of 6 – 12 months contract and pays around £35 – £38 FCSA Umbrella (this role is deemed inside IR35).
 
Although the client has indicated a maximum rate of £38 FCSA Umbrella, they might be prepared to consider applications above this on a case by case basis
