Mechanical Design Engineer

Working on the design of complex enclosures – to enclose electronics and electrical systems from harsh environments.

Other duties include generating concept design proposals and feasibility studies to support product development programs.

Applicants should have the following Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Complex enclosure design experience
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Broad knowledge of all aspects of engineering, such as systems, electrical, electro-mechanical, and rotating machinery
• Experience in manufacturing methods such as metal fabrications, castings, welding, machining, and corrosion protection
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably AutoCAD Inventor
• Good knowledge of materials
• Good knowledge of best practices in design lifecycle processes, such as gated design phases and design reviews
• Experience in designing to strict requirements such as shock, EMC and thermal
