Therefore the successful applicant will be working in a small but friendly environment within a team not just committed to satisfying customer's requirements but exceeding them.
The working environment is clean and tidy and all tooling, stationary, protective equipment if required will be provided.
This is an exciting opportunity for somebody wanting to get involved in all aspects of assembly work to both learn and expand their knowledge of different manufacturing techniques, terminologies and processes whilst also understanding some of the other essential job roles that are required to support technicians at the bench.
The successful applicant must be willing to train in every aspect of the business from stores through to the workshop.
Be fully computer literate
Be proficient in reading, writing & maths
Ideally, own a vehicle and hold a full driving licence.
Have good eyesight and a steady hand!
Be prepared to work and train at customer's premises.
Be polite, trust-worthy, and able to work on their own or as part of a team.
Maintain a neat & tidy appearance at all times
Be in good Physical Condition
Unloading, Receiving, Un-packing and Booking in various Electronic and Mechanical components, before sorting in to various storage bins.
You will also be required to Pick Kits by taking parts from bins and using a computerized Picking List, put into a box ready for the shop floor.
Print out Labels, prepare Build Folders and maintain a neat and tidy stores area.
Leading on to; cutting, striping, preparing, soldering, crimping, terminating, testing and bagging simple and complex custom and bespoke cable assemblies, wiring looms, harnesses and umbilical's to customers wiring schedules, drawings, samples or procedures.
Finally; to carry out both complex mechanical and electronic product assembly and build.
This may involve drilling, tapping, sawing & filling along with component mounting, fastening, gluing, identifying, wiring, fixing and terminating.
Any other duties consider relevant to the above including; writing build procedures keeping notes, maintaining a clean & tidy working environment and contributing towards matters relating to Health & Safety, CoSHH and the environment.
You may also get involved in; some PCB population using automated machinery and hand placement.
Some previous experience weather at collage, university, training group or previous employment of using hand tools and following drawings and written instructions would be an advantage.
Successful applicants will be entitled to 20working day's holiday plus all public holidays.
Two 10 minute paid breaks Tea & Coffee is provided free of charge and ½ hour un-paid lunch.
Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) will be provided by the employers at the appropriate rate.
This will only be paid on days you would normally work.
Hours of work are 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday; Overtime may be available however this is at the Employers discretion.
Government Minimum wage offered depending upon age to be re-viewed during training.
