We are looking to recruit an Development engineer for a Peterborough based organisation, you will be coordinating the development & testing of mobile apps to be used within the automotive industry.
They will be condition monitoring & providing user input/innovation for complex machinery.
Role Overview
- Developing digital product, making sure things are working as expected.
- Develop failure mode analysis and validation plans with support relevant subject matter experts as required
- Using excel assessing risk.
- Overseeing / Running testing via user or mathematical testing.
- Meetings with various groups developing the product
- Document and gain consensus on test plans with the team
- Working closely with the overall architect.
- Writing reports and demonstrating that it is all working. (Math/coding)
- Matlab/Python preferred. Although training would be offered to engineers without these skills
- Co-Ordination of Validation testing for the apps. Not hands on testing (validation testers will do this, you will be ensuring the testing is being done & on track).
- Working with a simulation engineer, to test and validate failure modes
Key Skills
- Experience working with digital delivery, e.g. IT / software development / engineering data
- Coding understanding & experience – whether commercial or personal exp of this,
- Understands how software and products are developed (experience in the process)
- Able to technically communicate (understand what the app is trying to achieve / how to collect the needed data & must be credible in gaining information)
This is an interesting & varied role expected to be a very long term contract (min 12-24 months, likely longer).
It is due to start early in the New Year, although the client can wait for the right candidate
Salary/Rate £30 - £35 (FCSA Umbrella – This role is deemed inside IR35)
Location Peterborough
£30 - £35 ph (FCSA Umbrella) – Paye available too (£20 - £23ph)
