This is a brief overview of the role - it has been kept brief as we are looking to attract applications from both experienced & up & Coming engineers who would like to work for a world renowned organisation.
Test Development Engineer with telecoms experience. The role is the testing, fault finding and Development of RF Communication products. The Test Engineer performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and assemblies in accordance with company test procedures, then recommends development & improvements both in verbal & written report form
·Degree in electronics design or equivalent experience and knowledge
·5-10 years of experience of RF test equipment design.
·Experience of RF applications and digital circuits (microprocessors e.g. PIC, one board computers)
·Experience of RF test instruments and auxiliary equipment
·Experience of operating systems Windows, Linux
·Programming skills, C#, C++, python, SQL. Preferred but not essential LabVIEW, Java,
·Experience of protocol and bus standards. RS232, RS485, SPI, UART, Ethernet (LAN IP)
·Experience of databases My SQL, MS SQL Server etc.
·Experience of SVN Subversion repositories and file replication.
·Knowledge of TFTP servers
·Performance verification of test systems (SW component testing, Measurement system analysis, Gauge R&R, etc.)
·Statistical tools for verification of production variations (Six sigma approach preferred)
Part of your day to day role will be carrying out the following tasks & you should have previously performed these in the commercial Telecoms Industry
·RF tests for amplifier performance for W-CDMA and LTE as per radio standards for mobile communication. (E.g. ETSI, CSA, RED).
·RF test for filters and passive components PIM, S-Parameters, Isolation, etc.
·Power supply and Power distribution
·Communication protocols for products SPI, RS232, RS485, UART, Ethernet (IP), USB.
