Job Description

Support Analyst - Lincoln

I am currently recruiting for a client support analyst for an expanding software company based in Lincoln

The role is offered on a permanent basis with a salary of £25K

The role would ideally suit candidates with experience of installing, configuring and supporting server environments and desktop environments.
Experience of installing, configuring and supporting bespoke software packages would be a bonus.

The successful candidate will have the following traits:
·Firm, demonstrable technical experience with current Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating System environments.
·A good working knowledge of networking fundamentals
·Basic PC and Server hardware component knowledge
·A good understanding of Microsoft SQL Database Engine Management
·Awareness of Microsoft Internet Information Services
·Good technical troubleshooting skills
·Professional in appearance and telephone manner
·Full Driving License
·Able to take initiative and fantastic attention to detail

The role involves the following tasks:
·Working on the helpdesk, taking calls from customers and internal departments, logging the call and working to resolve the issue to conclusion
·Testing bespoke software, logging bugs and working with the development team to resolve reported issues
·Writing and updating user and technical documentation
·Working with the sales team as a technical consultant
·Attending customer sites to install, configure and train users on our software products
·Working with our internal departments on in-house projects
·Working on long term projects with clients up to Director level
·Attending customer sites for hardware break / fix (replacement of hardware) or software deployment
·Been on an on-call rota to respond to infrequent support tasks from key customers
