Job Title:Stores Manager
Reporting to: Workshop Manager
Job Purpose: To support the flow of materials and plant for all operational activities.
Fork Lift and Driving duties. Aid in the manufacture of machined parts as required.

Responsible for receiving and checking material deliveries and plant deliveries and booking into stock or passing on for inspection process, checking the delivery details are correct (counting of parts as to ensure correct bookings).
Check the accuracy of store issue notes and checking the validity of authorised signatures and correct cost codes.
Advise your purchasing manager of any problems relating to deliveries or costs and quality.
Computer Input and processing and key inputting of information such issues, goods received and return transfers onto the computerised stores/purchasing system.
To administer C.O.S.H.H. data to relevant personnel when issued with appropriate materials and maintain records of all products. Disposal of waste in accordance with regulations.
Establish and transfer deliveries to correct location. Recording delivery details onto computer to ensure delivery is completed.
Physical consignment checks in respect of quantity, damage, suitability and specification.
Follow and complete the set schedule to an accepted level of performance in accordance with ISO9000 and associated company practices.
Operate machine tools to manufacture parts as instructed. Adhere to all company SOP's.
Maintain a high level of quality and workmanship to all work, and tasks undertaken, ensuring that an adequate level of discipline is maintained at all times.

To keep work area clean and tidy at all times.
Vehicles (including Forklift) will be kept clean and tidy and will conform to the Traffic and Goods Vehicle Regulations.
To be responsible for deliveries in the absence of the stores material handler.
Liaise with the workshop manager to ensure all items are delivered as efficiently as possible.
Be aware of health and safety requirements and promote a safe working environment for both you and other employees.
Responsible for lifting and placing materials safely in areas out of public risk' and protecting as required. Complying with all Risk Assessment and Procedures.
Ensure that company business matters are dealt with in the strictest confidence.
Dispatching components for subcontract work, liaising with suppliers for confirmation of parts being processed and returned, Any discrepancies which can delay on time delivery to be discussed with the purchasing manager.
Any other duties commensurate with the post.
