Do you have some experience of supervising fellow inspectors?
Are you able to recommend quality initiatives, offer advice on quality procedures and establish if inspection techniques are fit for purpose, & do this without supervision?
If the answer is yes I have an opportunity to work in the quality department of a well respected & growing Aerospace manufacturer.
You will be undertaking mechanical inspection of aerospace components and finished assemblies, working to engineering drawings and using traditional inspection methods as well as having a major influence on the quality initiatives for the wider company
The successful candidate will have the following experience and knowledge:
Mechanical Inspection / Inspection is from a sub assembly, finished assembles, component manufacture or similar background
Experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings
A background in manufacturing / engineering
Experience of QA, Quality Assurance review & implementation
Experience of using traditional inspection tools and equipment (verniers, micrometers, gauges etc)
Working knowledge of GDT (geometrical dimensional tolerancing)
Working with Aerospace components
FAIRs experience Pref, ideally within ASI 9100 or similar aerospace standard
Experience of using hand tools

This role has a base salary of around £26 -£28k
