Job Description

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Permanent
Uxbridge
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer based in Uxbridge, Middlesex.
This is going to be a permanent position and will pay up to £45,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.

You will be responsible for:
- Producing cost effective detailed designs from concepts and ideas
- Produce design detail and assembly engineering drawings
- Participate in design coordination activities
- Conduct trade studies into potential engineering solutions, including 3D modelling, performance calculations, structural and mass analysis
- Produce top level design layouts from which detailed parts may be developed
- Produce detailed reports
- Produce and present design review presentations
- Oversee trial installations and take part in customer visits
- Conduct tolerance analysis
- Prepare retrofit and modification designs

Key skills required:
- Must have previous design output experience
- Must have experience working within the aerospace/aviation/defence industry
- Must have knowledge of geometric tolerance and layout of engineering drawings
- Must be able to obtain SC level clearance
