The Job Role
You will provide a comprehensive, fault finding, recovery and repair service to rolling stock, ensuring the vehicles operate in a safe and reliable manner.
You will have to diagnose the cause of failures to Rolling Stock equipment and rectify them in an efficient manner following standard procedures and safety instructions.
Assist with commissioning of new and existing rolling stock or systems ensuring high reliability and safety of equipment.
Undertake routine maintenance & modifications on both Rail Vehicles & Service Vehicles.
Your work will also include completing reports relating to all work you have completed.
What about me?
You must have served a recognised Engineering apprenticeship and have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience within the Railway Industry.
Possess a City & Guilds or NVQ-3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Be able to demonstrate a sound ability in fault finding and practical problem solving.
