Job Description

Quality Team Leader / Inspection Team Leader required for a 2 year contract in Aerospace manufacturing facility in Coventry.

Leading a small team of Quality Inspectors the responsibilities of the Quality Team Leader are as follows:
·Raise any necessary NCR's and ensure due dates are met and corrective action is documented and adequate.
·Support / Lead Quality Clinics where necessary.
·Support / Lead RCCA Investigations, using tools such as 8D, Fishbone Diagrams, 5 Why.
·Support FMEA's.
·Attend and participate in SQDIP meetings.
·Perform RCCA investigations, generating reports, on any Quality related issue.
·Conduct Process Control and Best Practice audits per schedule requirements.
·Represent the Quality Department at technical meetings with other areas.
·Liaise with and assist departments and personnel, on quality and technically related matters within and external to the company.
·Demonstrate tact and diplomacy in dealings with all levels of contacts internally and externally.
·Operate with good self-motivation and achievement focus in an environment which allows a substantial degree of independence of operation in line with broadly established policies and objectives.
·Responsible for all Quality Inspectors.
·Responsible for Final Inspection and Release for Part 145 and Part 21.
·Carry out appropriate training where required e.g. stamp holder continuation.
·Carry out special duties as assigned.
·Develop skills matrices for Inspection personnel in order to support cross functional activities.
·Plan, monitor and support the training and development of team members to enable the achievement of the team's objectives.
·Ability to train and conduct FOD Audits per business requirements.
·Must be able to carry out WASP Assessments as required.
·Engage in Continuous Improvement activities within each of the manufacturing cells.

To fulfil these requirements you must have the following skills/experience:
·Educated to minimum of HNC level or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
·An engineering apprenticeship and 10 years quality related experience in addition to experience in other disciplines.
·Demonstrable ability to devise and develop methods of operation and to exercise good judgement in potentially sensitive situations (e.g. in contact with customers and regulatory representatives).
·Good planning, organisational, analytical, interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral and written communication skills.
·Proficiency with the SAP ERP system would be beneficial.
·Conversant with ISO9001 / AS9100 / AS9110.
·Conversant with EASA Part 21 Subpart G requirements would be beneficial.
·Excellent communication skills.
·Leadership experience is required
·Must hold a clean UK driving licence.

This role could suit a Senior Inspector or Quality Engineer with Leadership experience - specifically experience of leading a team of Inspectors.
Pay rate is up to £280 per day LTD, depending upon experience and qualifications
