Job Description

An immediate requirement for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join my client based in Woodbridge area.

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for maintaining product assurance within the defined company processes and procedures, primarily working for the module ensuring 100% compliance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and improve the assurance within the module through pro-active auditing of products and processes (ensure compliance is there, if not raising findings, then raise opportunities for improvements)
Key contact representing quality for any queries, including key interface for customer quality matters and regulatory visits
Lead the daily module QRQC process with the Quality Manager
Measure the maturity of the QRQC process at module level and identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency or improve greater achievement of business targets
Validate and manage to completion any Customer Nil hour returns to set business targets (e.g. turnaround times, close out root cause, etc)
Drive corrective action closure following product process audit findings and validate
Lead FAIR creation and approval process for the module produced assemblies
Lead the quality investigations within the module through the QRQC process, driving clear root cause analysis to achieve a sustainable outcome and improvement for the business
Develop and implement quality improvement plans to support customer and business deliverables, and drive a proactive quality mindset across the module
Own and drive ownership of non-conforming material by managing traceability and containment activities, leading to scrap, rework, concession or supplier return, aligned to business targets
Ensure Customer requirements are incorporated in readiness for the release of Customer POs
Train and mentor anyone on quality topics affecting the module as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment, aerospace or Defence preferred
Working knowledge of business processes and Aerospace standard
Engineering qualification or equivalent
Experience of working with AS9100, REV D and REV C standards and auditing
Solid problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills through demonstrable application of continuous improvement/ lean manufacturing tools (e.g. Process FMEA, Risk analysis, causal analysis, 8D, SPC, etc.)
Drives to completion, self-motivated and able to prioritise own workload
Good written and verbal communication skills
Assertive and capable of defining priorities
IT literate, MS Office software, able to write reports and presentations
