As the Production Manager you will be joining a business that supports change and development and offers the opportunity to make a difference.
Key to the role is a proactive, hands on approach to people management. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to lead, mentor and develop your staff.
The role is offered on a permanent basis with salary of up to £55000 + excellent benefits
As the Production Manager, must have lean engineering in your toolbox.
You will be managing aroung 25 engineers and technicians, the manufacturing is generallly project based, involving bespoke one-off builds. The engineers tend to be involve with builds and installation. This is not a fast paced environment but there is a need to bring improvements to working practices
Working with this team and your managerial peers you will perform the following functions:
Lead, manage, inspire and motivate the Manufacturing team.
Carry out operational profit planning and ensure that the objectives are met within approved budget, schedules and quality specifications.
Manage the production team to achieve delivery, cost and quality targets.
Work with the Production Engineering Manager to develop and roll-out continuous improvement plans through the business
Create a high performance work culture across the department.
Mentor and develop the production team to continue to up-skill the workforce.
