Do you have experience of process improvement plans within highly complex Projects or Programmes?

Would you like to work on a 12 month fixed term contract to implement a designated project?

An Immediate requirement for a Process Improvement Engineer to join precision manufacturing company in Surrey.

Proactively investigate, define, propose and deliver Continuous Improvements' related to all office processes.
Provide continuous assessment, and implementation (where possible) of the latest manufacturing practices to support the progress of the company.
Be operationally aware of process waste and actively seek solutions with relationship to cost saving projects.
Define manufacturing and assembly processes of internally manufactured products and, where applicable, the associated external supply chain supply processes.
Assist in all associated processes and delivery targets, to include: SOP & work instructions, & operational procedures awareness.
Produce process routings to meet customer specifications working closely with planning & production.
Management of System(s) to ensure integrity is maintained.
Maintain a suitable level of network capability with support teams (Planning, Production, and Quality) to ensure that operational support is given and project goals are met.
Undertake requirements for: Risk Assessments, ISO14001 & all environmental issues as per internal & external audits & weekly safety check lists.

Support in developing and co-ordinating the process improvement program in conjunction with the Senior Executive
Facilitate Process Owners and improvement teams in improving their processes
Help provide Process Owners and improvement teams with effective, efficient & pragmatic frameworks, methodologies or approaches to help achieve tangible improvements in
process effectiveness
project delivery
attainment of corporate objectives
Help Process Owners and improvement teams see the connectivity with other processes.

Ability to effectively facilitate teams in order to
draw out their knowledge in a constructive way
help them to gain consensus
help them integrate improvements into the Company Management Systems
Ability to interact effectively, persuasively and collaboratively with staff at all levels of skill, experience and seniority.
Excellent understanding of process improvement methodologies, techniques and approaches and a keen appreciation of how and when to apply them pragmatically.
Motivation and encouragement of others, sometimes of more senior or experienced people.
Able to work within a pressurised environment
Good written, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Highly organised; good project/time management skills.

Continuous Improvement projects.
Management of Maintenance and service records
Producing SOP's & work instructions for all processes.
Reviewing: SOP's, work instructions, and business related documentation both electronically & hard copy.

Ability to prepare related documentation for pre-audit checking.
Electronic record keeping for both Internal & External audits.

5+ year's previous experience as a Process Engineer or Process Improvement Specialist similar role
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement: Value Stream Mapping, Bottleneck Management, Process Optimisation
Proven experience in helping functional teams improve their process effectiveness to deliver results.
Must have a hands on approach and run continuous improvement projects in tandem.
Ability to Multi-task
Analytical and creative thinker. This means you can operate on your own initiative but also contribute as a team member working with engineers from various disciplines.

Although we have been advised of a salary banding of £35k - £45k for the 12 month contract, there may be scope for expansion outside of this on a case by case basis.
