Job Description

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Night Shift CNC Turner based in Southall, London.

My Client is a Precision Engineering currently seeking an experienced night shift CNC turner to help support a busy CNC Turning production area machining high precision parts for Aerospace & Automotive.

You will have good experience of programming, setting and running Fanuc based CNC lathes. Predominantly turning parts out of aluminium, stainless steel and high performance plastics.
You will be part of a small, close and friendly working team so someone who fits in is essential, a good sense of humour is ideal!
You will be hard working, flexible to job change, willing to work overtime and occasionally longer hours during busy periods
You will have proven experience/competence working with tight tolerances with both small and large batch production.
You will be able to read engineering drawings and translate to machine programs and completed machined parts with minimal or no assistance from others
Time-scales can be demanding so a willingness to work hard and get jobs done quickly to the right standard is important
You will have knowledge of inspection standards and be able to use manual and automated CMM inspection equipment to check your own work off the machine before independent checks by Inspection/Quality staff
You will be hard-working, punctual, self-disciplined and flexible in your outlook

Pay Rate: £15 - £20 PAYE per hour and 1.5 Over time rate.
Shifts are Monday to Thursday.
