If you are a strong Mechanical Engineer with solid experience with FMEA’s & DFMA’s we would like to hear from you.
 
We are looking to recruit Mechanical Systems people with experience of creating & maintaining FMEA’s/DFMEA’s with strong Root Cause / RCA experience too for a long term project in Cambridgeshire.
 
You will be looking at things from a ‘whole system’ viewpoint and advising fellow engineers on best practice, risk mitigation & planning/outlook of current projects.
 
You should have a strong data analysis background within a mechanical manufacturing industry & be able to demonstrate previous successful work;
 
The Mechanical Systems Engineer will:
 
Perform analysis of machine & machinery data to develop technical objectives, identify system level risks and identify & resolve product issues.
Support the creation and maintenance of System FMEA's, and facilitate the creation of system & component validation plans (DVP – Design Verification Plan)
Work with component teams, test engineers, product managers & customers, to make decisions making from data reviews and end of test inspections.
Collaborate to investigate system level trade-offs including performance, packaging & durability. This will be achieved using a combination of engineering hand calculations, simulation results and test data.
Undertake machine & sub system integration application risk assessments, working collaboratively with our customers.
Take results from DVP & translate into product capability statements, and application sign-off requirements.
Experience of DFMEA Facilitation and Creation
 
The work involves working in a fast-moving development environment with the ability to analyse technical situations and make sound technical recommendations based on this analysis.
 
 
 
Hybrid Work Model available. Initially more site based whilst coming upto speed on specific products, bit will be Hybrid as soon as able - current team on site 1-2 days pw.
 
Hourly Rate £35-£40ph FCSA Umbrella (this role is inside IR35) - however may have scope consider above this on a case by case/individual basis, please indicate in response for more details. paye also available
Duration – initial 12-24 mths, although this is highly likely to extend beyond this and become even more long term
