would you like to be a key member of a specialist R&D team who are continuously developing new products, components & projects?
Do you have experience of Mechanical design combined with good 3D CAD skills?
(they use Creo, but are happy to consider any 3D CAD as long as you have good design capabilities in an industry similar to them).

This position is an opportunity for a Design Engineer to join the R&D team and be responsible for the design work within a team of fellow engineers in our Research and Development Centre.
In this role you will be responsible for the design of components and assemblies which could include rigging systems, mechanical systems, driveline components and unique test rigs.
You will demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and determination to resolve issues while maintaining high quality standards and excellent communication skills. In order to do this you will have a good working knowledge of solid modelling, detail drawing and geometric tolerancing, coupled with experience and a comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practice.

Job Duties / Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

??CAD Design of components and assemblies
??Completion of component and group drawings
??Involving other engineers and technical resources to address detailed technical problems

Key competencies / qualifications required
Engineering degree or relevant experience
Idealy Creo CAD experience, however the client is willing to consider good automotive design backgrounds with similar 3D Packages
Geometric tolerancing knowledge
Ability to understand detailed drawings and technical specifications
Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Powerpoint)
Good mechanical aptitude
Team player with the ability to interact positively with all functions and organisation levels
Productive and able to manage own work
Good communicator
Flexibility and ability to operate under pressure

Creo Simulate experience

This is a very long term opportunity which will offer some very good & long term term work and with the amount of projects of currently being undertaken could last in excess of 1-2 years.

£25 - £30 (Ltd) although their may be scope outside of this. the client has indicated they will evaluate on a case by case basis
