Materials Planner - Peterborough
We are looking to secure the services of a planner to help support a project team within our client.
They are a small close knit team who are responsible for the support of R&D and demonstration of the company products.
This involves a lot of simultaneous projects which require support in the manufacturing of the products.
There will be a lot of supplier liaison, engineering interaction, and project team briefing.
Below is the overview of the role, however if you have experience and background in materials planning within wide and diverse manufactured products please get in touch!
·Contribute to the creation of individual project plans.
·Link with internal & external team members to maintain & expedite planned activities, highlight risks & concerns, propose actions.
·Communicate project status & issues internally & externally
·Organise, track & expedite specific procurement activity
·Self-management of assigned tasks to agreed requirements, delivering high quality work to documented or novel processes within agreed timescales
·Build relationships with key contacts
·Champion customer engagement and support
·Deliver to committed deadlines
·Strong collaborative, interpersonal and communication skills to effectively
work across functions
·Problem-solving skills to solve common problems.
·Strong team player
·Basic manufacturing principles and product knowledge.
·College or university education, or equivalent experience in relevant discipline
• A background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Operations, Inventory Management,
Longterm ongoing contract , working within an enthusiastic supply chain team
The client is ideally looking to pay £17 - £18 (Ltd/Umbrella) £12 - £13 (paye) to the successful candidate, however may have scope consider above this on a case by case/individual basis.
