If the answer is yes I have an opportunity to work in the engineering department of a world renowned defence manufacturer as a Manufacturing Manager.
We are continuing to look for additional staff to lead & motivate engineering staff for a company in Bedford.
This is for an immediate start and the client is looking to bring people on straight away. This is an exciting time to be joining this company as they have expanded substantially over the recent times and look to continue this year, and with likely further work due to be awarded is likely to continue into the foreseeable future.
We have successfully recruited a large close knit team for this client and are now offering an opportunity to join a management team that has grown and expanded substantially over the last year.
They are seeking an Manufacturing Manager, who in addition to normal Manufacturing engineering, can also demonstrate the following experience.
·Development of Operations Engineering strategy and associated 5 year plan
·Establishment of Operations Engineering Organisation Structure and changes managed as and when deemed necessary
·All Recruitment activities
·All HR Activities including Performance reviews, talent development, Promotional planning
·Development and maintenance of all Operations Engineering Processes within Touchstone
·Agreeing Service Level Agreements (SLA's) with internal customers and ensuring tactical performance of the Operations Department meets these levels
·Ensuring management to all Programme EAC positions with Operations Engineering activities
·Delivery of Operations Engineering solutions to programme requirements
·Planning and subsequent Management of Department 044 overhead budgets
·Operations Engineering primary signatory for EPP's and development of associated BOE's through tollgate reviews
If you can couple those operational skills with these manufacturing skills, we really want to hear from you!
·Experienced Manufacturing Manager having prior successes working with Systems & Build-to-Print Manufacturers and Internal Design Teams
·Knowledge of Mechanical Assembly and Special Processes, Composite Manufacture, Electrical / Electronic Manufacturing & integration.
·Strong interpersonal skills: ability to initiate and maintain relationships at all levels of the organisations and manage frequent interactions with Leadership Team and other internal and external customers.
·Ability to set a clear vision for the Operations Engineering function, gain full buy in and commitment from all of the Manufacturing professionals within the team and develop a strategy plan to move periodically towards this vision
The role is offered on a permanent basis with a salary of around £45 - 60 k for the successful candidate.
The successful candidate will have proven team leading experience, be systematic and logical, and always be approachable to their team. You will be there to facilitate them doing the best job possible.
