Job Description
You will be part Design Engineer, part Manufacturing Engineer, part Production Engineer.
The role is offered on a contract basis offering an hourly rate of £25 - £30 ph. however there is an opportunity for candidates that need development. A candidate with strong potential and the right attitude will go a long way.
To be considered, candidates will have all or some of the following skills, experience and qualifications.
Experience of machined components in alloy steels and vehicle electro-mechanical production assembly.
The role
Industrial Engineering
Developing and resolving assembly load path and tooling access issues create Industrial Engineering Concerns or DFM submission documentation as required.
Presenting Industrial Engineering data and models across function to Engineering, Finance and Management to support DFM and UPC Cost Management activities to support process improvement and product commonality opportunities.
Manufacturing Engineering
Support Manufacturing Engineering providing tooling designs and facility planning solutions, delivering CAD model data identifying key interface requirements to engineered components with tooling models.
Thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts
Previous experience of using lean manufacturing tools and techniques
Forward thinking, innovative approach to process design
Desired skills / experience:
Process control experience, APQP/PPAP
Experience in managing capital equipment design, installation and commissioning
Process/systems orientated background
