Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer
Salary: £300.00 Ltd per day
Location: West Midlands (Coventry/Birmingham)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months minimum (expected to last up to 2 years)
Key skills:Process improvement , build documentation, NPI, PFMEA, Tooling design, Jigs & Fixtures, Assembly line restructuring

I am currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer / Production Engineer with experience of developing and improving manufacturing processes used in the manufacture of fluid control components. Experience of the following is key:
Tooling design
PFMEA
Process improvement
Build documentation
Capital expenditure
Routings, BOM checking

This is a hands on engineering role and you most likely have experience of some of the following manufacturing techniques:
machining
assembly
test

The role is offered on a long term contract basis, paying £300 Ltd per day, depending on what you can offer to the role. It is expected to last a minimum of 12 months

Key Responsibilities:
Produce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Design tooling, jigs & fixtures and test equipment for NPI
Manage the introduction of new products ensuring new product specifications aid manufacture (DFM).
Create NPI build documentation for new products and update existing documentation where required.
Support PFMEAs
Plan, organise and carry out process validation exercises for NPI
