We are working with a locally based company looking to recruit a key player within their manufacturing engineering team. They are a Major local company supplying many some very well known and key Prime Contractors & OEMs across Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Space & other high technology markets



Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer
Ilminster
£32-35 ltd per hour
6 months rolling
Key skills: works instructions, documentation, DFM, PFMEA, works instruction, Composite manufacturing process improvement
I am currently recruiting for a well-rounded Manufacturing Engineer / Production Engineer with extensive experience of working in an composite component & composite structures environment.
It is essential that you will have previously worked as a manufacturing engineer within a company that manufacturing structural composite

The role is offered on a long term contract basis, paying £32 - £35 Ltd ph. It is expected to turn into a very long term rolling contract.

Key Responsibilities:
·Manufacturing support
·Process improvement
·Hands on shop floor involvement, including bottleneck resolution, assembly improvement, optimising cycle times, optimising assembly build times, optimising assembly staff
·Industrial Engineering
·Developing and resolving assembly load path and tooling access issues create Industrial Engineering Concerns .
·process improvement, issue resolution
·Thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts
·Previous experience of using lean manufacturing tools and techniques
·Forward thinking, innovative approach to process design
·Composite manufacturing, Assembly or second operation process improvement
·Producing Works Instructions

The successful candidate would be expected to have demonstrated significant composites manufacturing process improvement projects throughout their experience.
