Job Description
As a Project Engineering Manager, you will lead and manage a multi discipline team of Senior Project Engineers to deliver a number of new projects on the railway by 2011 in time for the 2012 Olympics. Therefore this is a two year contract.
Responsibilities include:
- Relevant railway engineering/construction experience, preferably in a multi-disciplined environment and including site works.
- Experience of design and method statement review.
- Knowledge of safety management (IOSH managing safely).
- Experience of working with clients, contractors and designers.
- Knowledge and experience of the requirements for work on safety critical and safety related systems.
- Knowledge of project control/management processes.
- Knowledge and experience of line management/HR procedures.
- Knowledge and experience of line management/HR procedures.
- Knowledge of budget control and forecasting.
Your skills and experience:
- Previous experience in the UK rail market is a must.
- Relevant engineering degree
- Membership of a relevant engineering institution.
