You'll have a technical training qualification in either Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or significant experience in a similar industry.
Tasks will include helping with the evaluation of new product designs which will involve following written test procedures or verbal instructions.
You will need to be able to hand solder components on a PCB, both surface mount and through-hole, do basic wiring and crimping as well as use general test equipment such as an oscilloscope, multi-meter and power supply.
Tasks will also include taking measurements of voltage, power, temperature, current, etc. as well as device programming and product configuration.
You will be trained on the use of Pre-compliance EMC test equipment and perform tests on our products.
You will also be involved in reliability testing and failure analysis.
You will receive necessary training on procedures and equipment.
General computer skills are required and you will be asked to perform other general tasks to help staff in the R&D department.
You will need to be flexible, show initiative and have a positive can-do' attitude.
All candidates should be able to work on their own and with small teams.
You will report to the Chief Electronics Engineer.
Salaries offered will be dependent on qualifications and experience in the range of £20k to £24k pa.
Annual leave is 22 days plus 3 discretionary days between Christmas and New Year.
Hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a hour for lunch.
