Job Description
To support complex and custom product manufacture, technical changes to existing products and new product development and introduction to manufacture.
MAIN DUTIES:
Work within the R&D team to plan and execute the assembly and test of small volume custom and prototype products.
Assemble complex electro-mechanical assemblies from schematics and design documentation.
Test assemblies and products for safety and performance.
To assist with the investigation and resolution of technical issues.
To assist with product design at a level appropriate to your competence and learning stage.
Prepare documentation under supervision for internal use.
An advanced apprenticeship in Engineering can/will be offered with this role - including time off to attend college/complete work etc.
EXPERIENCE
Electronics or Electro-Mechanical design & manufacturing environment.
PERSONAL QUALITIES:
Enjoys working in a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment.
Employ a structured and methodical approach with good attention to detail.
Aspiration to learn and develop competence.
Flexible approach to work in a busy and changing environment.

EDUCATION
5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A*-C (Level 4 or better) to include English and Maths.
NVQ/HNC/HND or equivalent in Electronics or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge
Use of computers and office applications for email, creating documents etc.
Skills
Use of basic engineering tools and equipment.
