Job Description

We have the opportunity for an Electronics Engineer to join a project with our client at a very exciting stage. This stage of the project is still within development and you can have a chance to really mould and adapt a product using your expertise.
Below is a brief outline of the role, and the client is looking for applications from astute Engineers who believe they have the ability develop cutting edge technology/electronics.

Responsibility for the design, development and support of mixed electrical / electronic LRU solutions from concept to completion following a detailed phase-gate development process. Provide guidance and governance to the team in the integration of the LRU deliverables, supporting as necessary assembly and installation.
Provide direction to the project team against specification requirements and further supports design review activities. Define processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacture of the electronic hardware. Provides direction used cross discipline to develop scope of work, metrics, schedules and budgets.
Provide lead to the LRU design and development, whilst engaging in the technical detail as an integral member of the team. Provide technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. Facilitate the development of functional and physical design requirements to ensure complete integrated design architecture.

·Design and development of electronic circuitry (includes, analogue, digital, microprocessor, FPGA design techniques).
·Electronic circuit simulation and analysis.
·Specification and selection of electronic components.
·Schematic Capture and associated PCB layouts.
·Testing and evaluation of electronic circuits and components.
·Preparation of FMEA's and design validation documentation.
·Preparation of design review documentation.
·The ability to produce technical documentation to support all activities, from trade studies, requirements documentation to final assembly instructions.
·Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
·Strong organisational skills, able to co-ordinate various stakeholders into unified approach.
·Self managing and driven to get the results needed.

Required Skills: The core competences and qualifications for the job are:
·Experience of Electronics Hardware Design & Product Development.
·Proven experience in Digital and Analogue Electronics Design
·Microprocessor Design and Interfaces, both digital and analogue.
·Proven Experience of Schematic Capture and PCB Layout
·EMC Awareness at product and PCB level
·Ability to support and manage aspects of Assembly, Integration and Test
·Strong team player with good written and verbal communication skills The role will involve working on UK classified programmes the candidate must therefore be willing and able to obtain a security clearance to SC.

Desired Skills:
The role requires the working knowledge of the following skills, hence, experience in these areas will be an advantage:
·Experience of Hardware requirements specification and management - DOORS
Proven Hardware Sell Off experience through qualification ans verification
