Job Description

CNC Setter Operator

This is a permanent in Coventry

The role is predominately daytime work.
However if the factory becomes very busy and needs to introduce a nightshift, then all staff must be prepared to do some nights for short period of time, on a rota with other staff.

Dayshift is 5 days per week - 7:30am start - Monday to Friday
Nightshift is 4 nights per week - 9:00pm start - Monday to Thursday

Dayshift Salary is £32K, plus overtime
Uplift for nightshift

The role is predominating CNC Milling, so would naturally suit a CNC Miller.
However CNC Turners with some CNC Milling experience will be considered.

This is small batch work - typical batch quantity is 10 pieces - so regular setting and tool changes are part of this role.

This CNC Setter Operator is expected to read the Engineering Drawings and Tool Sheets appropriate to each component, and then set the machine accordingly.
The CNC programmes are already loaded in the machine.
This CNC Machinist is expected to set up the machine using the supplied drawings, sheets and programmes.

The machines are 3 axis and 5 axis Vertical Machining Centre, and candidates should have done some 5-axis machining before.

An Engineering Apprenticeship is preferred, however it is the machining experience which is important.
All candidates must have good experience at CNC controls such as Fanuc, Mazak, Mazatrol, Siemens or Heidenhain

If you are interested then please contact Dominic at Entech to discuss the role, or send your CV.
