Job Description

Are you a CAD Engineer with experience of heavy machined components in alloy steels, welded fabrication and vehicle assembly?
Do you have experience of producing Digital Mock-ups (DMU), using ProE-Creo and Wind-chill?
Are you looking for a new long term contract working within an advanced manufacturing environment where you can take the lead in improving manufacturing capability?

I am currently recruiting for an Industrial Engineer for a contract lasting 6 months + offered at an hourly rate of up to £45 LTD per hour.
Working across a number of disciplines (design, manufacturing, supply chain), your experience will facilitate success in the following areas:
Using ProE-Creo to create part sections, mechanisms, 2D drawings and sub-assemblies to BoP (Bill of Process) requirements.
Working within the Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering teams to develop and resolve assembly load path and tooling access issues.
Supporting Manufacturing Engineering tooling and facility planning by providing CAD model data identifying key interface requirements to engineered components with tooling models.
Support supply chain RFQs by producing sheet material nesting layouts for material utilisation and cost management.

The role will best suit an experienced CAD Support Engineer who has worked on the design and manufacture of heavy machined components (rail, heavy industry, oil & gas, armoured vehicles). Use of Pro-E Creo and Windchill is essential. An understanding of GD&T with the ability to identify key characteristics and datum structures is highly desirable
