Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced production engineer with CNC programming experience to join a thriving precision engineering business.

This role will best suit someone with a background in CNC machining with a knowledge of programming and CAD/CAM and improving manufacturing processes.

The role is offered on a permanent basis with a salary ranging from £35 - £40K, depending on what you can bring to the role.
There is an expectation that you will be working a double-day shift as you will be working closely with the shop floor. There is an uplift for shifts of 16.6%

As well excellent salary and benefits, there is the opportunity for career progression through the business.

To be successful in the role, you will have proven experience of CNC programming using a CAD/CAM package. The company use Solid Works for design and Solid CAM as the CAM package, however it not essential to have used these packages as long as you have used similar.

You will also have an understanding of requirements for speed, feed, depth of cut etc, as well as tooling and fixtures. You will take responsibility for developing the machining process and use your experience to look at other manufacturing processes.
