A new position to help extend and develop our range of electronic products.
Candidates should be qualified to BSc level or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or similar and have achieved a 1st grade.
Experience in practical electronic circuit design of measurement, control, analogue, digital and embedded microcontrollers is an advantage.
Programming with 8 or 32 bit microcontrollers is necessary and with STM8, STM32 is an advantage.
Design experience in data interfaces, GSM, Bluetooth, data logging, IoT, SMPS and power electronics will be an advantage.
Programming in embedded C' is essential and experience in assembler is an advantage.
You should be readily able to travel overseas from time to time on company business.
All candidates should be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in small teams. You should be keenly aware of the need of an industrial company to produce reliable products, to specification, on time and within defined cost constraints.
The engineer will be expected to see a product from initial specification, through design, testing, into production and give ongoing support.
You will need to be flexible in the tasks they undertake and will report to the Chief Electronics Engineer.
All candidates should be eligible to work in the UK and be readily available for occasional international travel.
Salaries offered will be dependent on qualifications and experience in the range of £25k to £30k pa.
Annual leave is 22 days with additional discretionary 3 days at Christmas.
The company provides a Death in Service benefit and a pension scheme.
