EHS Associate – Stafford
Health & Safety Officer / HSE Advisor – Local Manufacturer
Fully based on site in Stafford – Intially 6-12 months, likely to extend beyond
This would suit an EHS, ESH, SHE, SHEQ, HSE or QHSE Specialist
We are looking for an Health & Safety Specialist to be responsible for the EHS Compliance for a large Stafford based manufacturer
Working in an engineering manufacturing company in Stafford, this role is to provide support sitewide to ensure the company are best placed with their EHS procedures.
Will be based in Stafford.
You will be required to carry out the following
- Identify common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organizations operations, and works with EHS manager or corporate EHS to establish guidelines for protection from those hazards.
- Prepares or reviews HSE training materials for the facility.
- Investigates and establishes standards for protective equipment.
- Performs self-assessments of safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
- Experience of management systems and ISO standards (Auditing in line with management systems and ISO).
- Root Cause Analysis & Investigations
Essential Skills
- NEBOSH qualified
- IEMA Certification desirable (not essential)
- Experience in delivering compliance based projects
- Experience of rolling out & successful Implementation across company shopfloor & multi department manufacturing site
- Formal Accident Investigation Programmes / Training Desirable
- Puwer compliance experience desirable
- Able to maintain & motivate small team
Will be largely based on site, as will need to work closely with people to bring onboard for new projects/initiatives. Site Based, hand on role
Thus role is deemed inside IR35
Rate
£25 – £25.80 (FCSA Umbrella – This role is deemed inside IR35) paye is available also (c £18 – £19 ph).
Duration initially 6-12 months, although likely to extend beyond and become ongoing
